Please check your schedule often. Any changes to due dates, solutions to some of the assigned problems, as well as MATLAB
code shown in class throughout the semester will be posted to that page:
Late submission is subject to a 10% penalty for each day late. After three days, late submissions can only get 30% points. Students are strongly advised that any act of cheating will result in a score of 0 for the entire assignment and repeat offences will be reported to the Office of the Dean of Students and will result in an automatic F grade. You are encouraged to discuss problems and ideas but the final solution or code must be your own.
Grading policy: Homework assignments 10%, Lab assignments 10%, Quiz 10%.
The class material builds on itself and getting behind is a huge no-no. Getting behind will hinder your progress on the following assignments and impede your understanding of the lectures. Don’t do this!
Although you are encouraged to discuss ideas with others, your programs are to be completed independently and should be original work. Whenever you obtain significant help (from other students, students in other classes, etc.) you should credit those who helped you in your work, e.g. “The idea to remove the outliers before running my regression model for the third time came from a discussion with my roommate’s sister, Alice P.
